At the personal invitation of the First Deputy Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region – Chairman of the Government of the Arkhangelsk Region A.V. Alsufyev and the Lomonosov Foundation (President of the Foundation, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences K.V. Lobanov), leading researcher of the Institute of Oceanology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Honorary Polar Explorer of Russia Sergei Viktorovich Pisarev took part in the 54th Lomonosov Readings, which will be held in 2025 on the topic ““Meeting the Sun” – the Arctic Vector of Russia (on the 500th Anniversary of the Beginning of the Development of the Northern Sea Route)”.
During the period of November 19-20, Pisarev S.V. took an active part in a series of anniversary meetings with the general public of Arkhangelsk and the village of Kholmogory.
On November 19, as part of a ceremonial plenary session at the Arkhangelsk Drama Theater, S.V. Pisarev read a popular lecture, "Modern Expeditions for Exploring Ice-Covered Regions of the Arctic Ocean," which was warmly received by the assembled audience.
