On July 27, 2023, Alexey Valentinovich Sokov left the post of director of the IO RAS at his own request.

In accordance with the order of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation No. 10-2/198 p-o dated July 27, 2023, the temporary duties of Director of the IO RAS are assigned to the leading researcher of the Lisitzin Laboratory of Physical and Geological Research Shevchenko Vladimir Petrovich before replacing the position of director in the prescribed manner.
