On November 14, a meeting of members of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences was held at the Russian Academy of Sciences, during which the head of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician Gennady Krasnikov, awarded young scientists and university students who became laureates of RAS medals following the 2022 competition.
503 works were submitted to the competition, most of them presented in the form of large series of scientific research and published in leading domestic and foreign editions and monographs.

In the field of oceanology, atmospheric physics, geography - Anna Shestakova, Dmitry Chechin (Obukhov Institute of Atmospheric Physics RAS) for the series of works “Study of mesoscale atmospheric circulations in the Arctic and assessment of their influence on the energy exchange of the atmosphere and the underlying surface” and Dmitry Glukhovets (head of the Laboratory Ocean Optics, Shirshov Institute of Oceanology, RAS) for a series of scientific papers “Comprehensive studies of the distribution of bio-optical characteristics in the seas of Russia.”

In the field of oceanology, atmospheric physics, geography - master's student of the Physics and Technology School of Aerospace Technologies of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (National Research University) Elizaveta Tsukanova (graduate student at the Tsunami Laboratory of the Institute of Oceanology RAS) for the work “Tsunamis in the Sea of Japan 1983 and 1993: numerical modeling and observations."
