Dmitry Ilyich Frey was awarded the Moscow Government Prize for Young Scientists

premiya 23 On January 15, 2024, the names of young scientists who won the competition for the Moscow Government Prize for Young Scientists in 2023 were announced.

Leading researcher at the Laboratory of Hydrological Processes of the Institute of Oceanology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Dmitry Ilyich Frey, was awarded the Moscow Government Young Scientist Prize for 2023 in the Earth Sciences category for his work "Study of the deep circulation of the World Ocean from Antarctica to the Arctic seas of Russia and its influence on the Earth’s climate".

The main theme of the works of Frey D.I. associated with studies of the dynamics of bottom currents, field observations and modeling of three-dimensional ocean circulation. As part of these works, he participated in 7 expeditions to the Atlantic, Indian and Arctic oceans.

The Moscow Government Prize is awarded annually to young scientists from metropolitan organizations for achieving outstanding results in fundamental and applied scientific research in the field of natural sciences, technology and the humanities.
