On April 1, 2025, a meeting of the "Physics of the Sea" section was held at Shirshov Institute of Oceanology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, organized by the Department of Thermohydromechanics of the Ocean as part of the 67th MIPT Conference.

At the section meeting, 12 students from MIPT, MSU and MIIGAiK spoke to leading scientists of the Institute of Oceanology. All works were noted for their high level of preparation and led to interesting scientific discussions within the question-and-answer session. Based on the results of the reports, prize winners and winners of the section in the scientific paper competition were selected among 3 master's theses and 9 bachelor's theses. In the future, students whose reports were noted as the best at the section will have to speak at the second stage among the winners of all conference sections. Such a practice allows choosing a worthy candidate for benefits when entering the master's and postgraduate programs at MIPT.

The 67th All-Russian Scientific Conference is held annually at the Phystech and includes dozens of sections on the most advanced areas of modern science. The conference provides an opportunity to join an active scientific environment, hone your presentation skills, tell famous scientists about your work, and more. The papers that have passed the review and are presented at the conference will be included in the conference proceedings indexed by the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI), and the authors of the best papers will be offered to publish their results as scientific articles in the journal "Proceedings of MIPT", which is included in the list of the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC) and the RSCI.
