October 12, 2017 the opening of the Wall of Fame took place in the Maritime Museum of the city of Cherbourg (France). The wall contains 16 names of researchers who have made a great contribution to the conquest and exploration of the depths of the World ocean.

Jacques Piccard, Don Walsh, James Cameron, Henri-Germain Delause, Paul-Henry Norgele, Georges Wo, Philippe Gulevane, Sylvia Earle, Anatoly Sagalevich and others are among them.

The memorable plaques were presented to the participants of this celebration at the opening.
