Graduated with honors from the Faculty of Geology (Department of Lithology and Marine Geology), Lomonosov Moscow State University in 1990. She completed her postgraduate studies at the Institute of Oceanology of RAS under Professor N.А. Aibulatov. She worked at the Laboratory of Shelf and Seashore, and since 2015 - at the Laboratory of Geodynamics, Georesources, Geo-risks and Geoecology.

She defended her PhD thesis in the specialty "Oceanology" on the topic "Peculiarities of the distribution and composition of suspended matter and flows of sedimentary matter in the Barents and Pechora Seas" in 2007.

Participant of 30 scientific expeditions to the seas of Russia and the Atlantic Ocean, in two of them she was the head.

Author and co-author of more than 130 scientific papers, of which more than 50 are in publications indexed in the Web of Science and Scopus databases.

She reads the course "Biogenic Components and Suspension of the World Ocean" to undergraduates of the 2nd year of study of the Department of Lithology and Marine Geology of the Geological Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University.

Since 2005 he has been the Scientific Secretary of the International Scientific Conference (School) on Marine Geology.

Scientific Secretary of the Dissertation Council D 002.239.03 IO RAS (geological, mineralogical and technical sciences).

Research interests: problems of modern sedimentation, dispersed sedimentary matter (aerosols, suspended matter, flows), bottom sediments, diagenetic processes.
