In 2001, he graduated from the magistracy of the Geological Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University with a degree in Lithology and Marine Geology, and entered the graduate school of the IO RAS.
In 2004 he graduated from the graduate school of the Institute of Oceanology of RAS with the presentation of a thesis for defense and entered the laboratory of Physico-Geological Studies as a chief specialist.
In 2005 and 2008 approved as a scientific and senior researcher at the IO RAS, respectively.
In 2011, under the leadership of Academician of RAS A.P. Lisitsyn, he defended his PhD thesis "Vertical flows of sedimentary matter in the White Sea", specialty 25.00.28 "Oceanology".
Research interests: processes of modern sedimentation in high latitudes of the World Ocean. Under the leadership of Academician of RAS A.P. Lisitsyn a new approach has been developed to study marine sedimentation using dispersed sedimentary material of the water column in sedimentation traps in comparison with the surface layer of bottom sediments (concentrated forms of sedimentary matter). This approach opens up the possibility (by the flows of sedimentary matter in the water column) to study modern sedimentation in the surface layers of bottom sediments in situ and, at a new technological level, to track changes in the natural environment and climate.
