According to the Regulations on the Scientific Council of the Scientific Direction (USN) of the Institute of Oceanology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the USN includes the Deputy Director of the Institute for Scientific Work in charge of the corresponding scientific direction, as well as the scientific leader of the Direction, heads of departments (laboratories, scientific groups) of the corresponding Direction, as well as members of the Scientific Council of the Institute, elected from the scientific direction. The Scientific Secretary and other members of the USN in the number approved at the General Meeting of Scientific Researchers of the Direction were elected on May 26-28, 2021 by the General Meeting by secret ballot from among the employees with a scientific degree.
