The Journal editorial board collects manuscripts on the subject of the Journal, conducts the process of peer review in the mode of double-sided blind presentation of Reviews by Reviewers, prepares, edits and replicates the Journal.
The scientific Journal of Oceanological Research has been published since 1959 in special thematic issues and is a well-known printed publication in the field of oceanology. The journal covers solutions to fundamental and applied problems of oceanology, physics of the atmosphere and hydrosphere, meteorology and climatology, physical geography and geophysics, geophysical methods of prospecting for minerals, paleontology and stratigraphy, mineralogy and crystallography, hydrogeology, geochemistry, geochemical methods of prospecting for minerals, geomorphology and evolutionary geography, land hydrology, water resources and hydrochemistry, aerospace methods of Earth exploration, photogrammetry, geoinformatics and geoecology, ichthyology and hydrobiology.
Since 2017, the Journal has been published in print and online versions and publishes original scientific articles and reviews on topical issues in the development of technologies for marine research, based on the results of theoretical and experimental research in the field of physical, chemical, biological and geological oceanology, research of marine ecosystems, on the study of processes in the ocean and atmosphere and their interaction, including using numerical methods, using information technologies and satellite monitoring to solve fundamental and applied problems of oceanology. The journal also presents thematic reviews, historical references and documents, highlights memorable dates and the personal contribution of scientists to scientific results and achievements, publishes information about conferences, symposia, expeditions and other events of interest to the oceanological scientific community. The journal is also useful for teachers, graduate students and university students in the field of scientific specialties. The leading scientists of Russia and the international scientific community are members of the Editorial Board of the Journal.
